C&T 63
Jason’s back in town again, and back on the podcast again. We all feed off of each other to make for another great host-filled episode. What’s better than three friends talking cars?
This episode’s topics include: The 3 D’s, Monterey Auctions (Including a game where Cam and Jason guess the prices of upcoming sales. Links after the jump.), I look forward to a weekend away at Monterey with my father, Jason looks forward to his trip to Texas (And a Merc SL55 AMG rental), and we briefly touch on Top Gear on Amazon. If you want to get in on the game, submit your guesses below for the auctions, and we’ll compare to the actual prices next week.

Le Mans Porsche: Porsche prices are seemingly on a shockingly quick rise as of late. With that in mind, I think someone is going to pay more than the auction estimate.
    My guess: $12,500,000
Ferrari 250 GT: fuck… this is one of my dream cars, and I know I’ll never own one unless I hit Powerball. Ferrari prices have officially been in outer space for a few years now. This one is super desirable. I don’t think it will go past the estimate though. Honestly, it shouldn’t – it’s not one of the race cars, it’s just a beautiful old Ferrari.
    My guess: $17,900,000
L88 NART Corvette: Damn this thing is cool, and I don’t typically give two shits about C3 Corvettes (though I’ve grown to enjoy them a bit more, especially the one I drove for that classic car show episode in NJ). Still, I don’t see this one blowing past the estimates.
    My guess: $1,175,000
Tatra: I’m curious if folks will recognize how cool this is. I think they will because Tatra was more prominent at last year’s PB festivities. So because of that I think we could see this go for a bit over estimate.
    My guess: $325,000
Alfa Romeo Montreal: Very cool. Doesn’t blow the crowd’s skirt back.
    My guess: $130,000
BMW E30 M3: Very clean example and these are clearly on the rise price wise. Still, I think they’re estimate is on point. If the buyer spends more they’ve overspent and will need to hold on to it
    My guess: $73,000

I’ve always been a closet Tatra fan.
I love them all, but my dream one is the last one, the T700.
And, no, I have no idea why it’s my favourite.
