This week on C&T it’s the original trio of Cam, Brad, and Jason sitting around to discuss various vaguely automotive themed topics. We kick off by thanking Hunziker Design (and by extension Nic and Heather) for helping out in a friend’s time of need. We only have one week to go before Brad and Jason take off for the Driving While Awesome Coastal Range Rally, so final car preparations are going on there. Brad visited a cool new hipster coffee place with a motorcycle theme. Oh, and Brad also *fixed* his Audi, and yes the problem was stupid and yes he is stupid. Jason has the official car of C&T, a Corvette Z06 for a couple weeks (we’re all jealous). And cam tells a story.

    Wow Brad, you are an idiot. But so am I. My first car, a ’74 Ford Maverick, leaked and burned oil. But being 16, I didn’t realize how important oil was for a car, so I kept driving it. And I didn’t baby it either, I was constantly trying to see how fast it would go. Fun fact, the top speed of a Maverick with a 250ci straight six is 15mph slower with rod knock than it is without. :/
    I drove it like that for a couple months before my father noticed it and told me to fill it with oil. After that I started carrying a bottle of oil around with me, topping it off when ever it would start making noise. I continued to drive that car off and on through high school and college, putting something like 30,000 miles on it.
