Sign of the Times- Twitter Billboard FAIL

It’s hard for the local news to seem relevant when everybody’s already got the dope from their Twitter feed, 140 characters at a time. Taking a can’t beat ’em-join ’em mentality, Local 15 in Mobile Alabama posted a billboard at a busy intersection that broadcasted their own twitterings as a tease and to show just how hip and cutting edge their racially and gender-balanced news team is.
Sadly, this provides the opportunity for unfortunate juxtapositions in the twits on the right and the twits on the left, as demonstrated above.

  1. MySpace never managed to attract me more than a couple of times to check out a band. I stayed away from Facebook for years before finally joining. I have (so far) stayed away from Twitter as well. I have enough things that suck my time away, such as Hooniverse, without adding another into the mix.

  2. Twits tweet terrible tales.
PS: Nobody, I mean nobody, should hack into this Twitter account and send messages like, "Zombies Ahead! Run!" That would be bad.

  3. What I hate most about Twitter is how every company was "bullied" into being on Twitter.
I remember an article where people were criticizing Ford for not having a Twitter account, and it was seen as not being on the cutting edge.
Like JeepyJayhawk, I hope this passes sooner than later.
