This past weekend was the 51 running of the Rolex24 at Daytona and this olelongrooffan spent an alcohol induced a sleep deprived weekend just trying to see what could be seen. As the Hooniverse is a bit short on posts and all the Overlords are out and about, I thought I would pop up my first post from the Rolex and then I need to head out to renew my expired driver’s license. Yeah, expired on my birthday last September and I didn’t realize it until this olelongrooffan was pulled by Daytona Beach’s finest last Friday trying to get to the Ferrari Challenge on time. Yeah, I’m a dumbass. Anyway, click on through to see the first sighting of this weekend.

Parked over in TheFanZone, just outside the die cast car and other junk store was parked the Wolf GB08 prototype race car.

As the crowd around the car was pretty intense, I didn’t take the time to find out a whole lot about it. There were three guys having a serious conversation with the promoter so I would suspect there is some interest in this thing. I included the image of the above information so, if so inclined, my fellow Hoons can do some research of their own.

I don’t really have a lot to share about this except that it looked pretty cool and almost toy like with those mini Avon tires and wheels on it.

I tried to determine what the power plant was but didn’t notice any identifying markings on it. But I see by the included info board it is a Honda.

Anyway, that does it for this olelongrooffan for now. Gotta go get abused by some Driver’s License cops and give the Sunshine State a whole freaking bunch of money just to have the privilege of driving back and forth to schlep some trailers.
