Podcast: Episode 123 – A TI-85 To The Taint with Regular Cars Reviews

Podcast-Image-Lead-123

We’ve been off for two weeks sorting out some tech issues, so we’ve decided to come back in a big way. This is a longer episode because our friends Mr. Regular and The Roman are in the podcast studio. It’s the Regular Cars Reviews team, and we’ve got plenty to talk about.

Sit down, strap in, shut up, and hold on.

wait hey hang on what they’re actually moving to Waco? awesome, more yuppies to be friends with!

Waco isn’t so bad once you get used to it but there’s not a lot of cultural opportunities going on here for city folk. i’m used to living places where sports teams and concerts by bands i’ve heard of may come by. you just have to get used to the idea of occasionally driving the two hours to Dallas or Austin to have some fun on the weekend. life doesn’t fall into your lap here, but nor does it pass you by completely.

can you tell me more about Toyota moving out here? i’m curious, haven’t heard anything about this.

GOD DAMMIT it’s Plano, and not Waco!

ahhh, you had my hopes up of getting some Toyota yuppie friends out here.

ha ha i went there a couple weeks ago! there was a “trailer race” in which the rules were: (1) if you don’t keep your trailer, you can’t win unless everyone else loses their trailers too, and (2) you must hit something every lap.

            it was absurd and wonderful.

Re mid-’90’s 4.6L (around the 38-minute mark): hey now. In stock form it was as good or better than the obsolescent 302/5.0 in most metrics, it makes lovely noise in the higher RPM ranges, and it’s a great-grandparent of the Coyote 5.0.
