Yikes, it must take some powerful motors to run those windows up and down.

Might as well just go with the green and white paint scheme, too.

I could use a set for my 300SD…

Depending on where you drive in LA, maybe.

Loving the empty beer glass on the centre console. Is that a period feature?

…..sitting on the console, because there was no cup holder, right? But I bet there were a couple ashtrays for the pack of Marlboro's next to the beer glass.

I think I would have painted the passenger's interior door handle red. Imagine emptying a full clip in a moment of inattention.

Giving new meaning to the term "blow your doors off."

        Also "killer ride"

Seems that real door handle was once above the weapon, below the window where it was secured with 4 screws, 2 in both ends. German cop pulled door a bit too abruptly and now only holes remain.

So, four screws probably means 2 13mm, 1 7mm, and 1 11mm, in that order, starting from "noon" counter-clockwise.

I can imagine the 'economy' gauge never moves from about 90% to the right of its travel.
Even my '89 40 SEL would barely crack 20 MPG, cruising @ 70 MPH, no A/C on, windows closed, flat roads.
By 'barely' I mean 20.1 MPG.

    That's when a door isn't ajar. It's an armory.

With this car, the cops are sure to have a handle on any situation.

Green interior, bold color choice. Looks good though.

Of course I'd probably end up playing this on the stereo every time I drove it:

Typical German over-engineering. Those 'gas assist doors' turned out to be overkill.
