On this date in 1964, the Ford Mustang Debuted at the World’s Fair in Flushing, New York. It also made its first appearance in select Ford dealers across the nation on very the same day. Is the above mystery vehicle a Mustang in honor of the day? I’m not telling, but I will tell you that you need to come up with the make and model for the win, whatever those might be.

It’s fibreglass whatever it is.

In a fine bit of Mystery Car trolling, I believe this to be, in fact, an early Mustang–albeit one that has been slightly modified with a Fiberfab Mustang ET proboscis.

If this is true, engine options would be:
Engine Code U: 170 cubic inch V-6 engine @ 101hp
Engine Code F: 260 cubic inch V-8 engine @ 164hp
Engine Code D: 289 cubic inch V-8 engine @ 210hp
See slightly more here: http://www.fiberfab.us/history.html-
This would make sense as today is the 51st b-day of the Rustang (I say this affectionately.)
