Twenty three years ago this very day, Iraq invaded Kuwait, thus setting in motion a series of events that, well, are still playing out. For some, the reasons behind Saddam Hussein’s decision to go visiting the neighbors remain shrouded in mystery, much like today’s Mystery Car.

Some of us know that the reason the Iraqi army got all kwazy in Kuwait was because the Kuwaitis were drinking their milkshake, diagonal drilling to suck up a bunch of Iraqi oil. Perhaps today’s contest will end better for all involved than did that Middle East conflict. Of course should you not abide by the rules, we may need to call in the UN Peace Keepers. Those rules are: make, model, likely engine and year-range to secure the win. Now, get ready for Mystery Car Storm!

  1. Cadillac V16, say around 1937 or so. Those oil-rich shieks LOVED their Caddys back in the day.

  2. really? i have no recollection of that being so close to my wedding day. 25 years ago I could believe…
maybe i was just preoccupied with wedding day activities. nowhatimean? say no more. nudge, nudge, wink, wink.
    sorry, what was the question?

  3. OK, let's start
pontoon fender & signal trim suggests German.
    Mercedes?
Looks a lot like an early '50s 220 or 300 coupe or cab, but I don't remember seeing these with suicide doors.
    that's all I've got.

  4. Maybe a '38 Delage…but I don't know if I'm looking a fender mounted mirror or a sidemount spare with a mirror on it…
