Way back at the time this olelongrooffan first started writing up this Long Shots series (thanks again to CptSevere), I commented how it often times felt that I would spot one car and it would remind me of another and then another. Well, back then it was usually big Detroit steel spotted in and around the Birthplace of Speed. Well, now that this olelongrooffan is living back down here in FantasyLand, I have noticed this is a recurring experience. But instead of old Detroit steel, it is European based and it is lovely. Well, at least to this olelongrooffan.
Yeah my fellow Hoons, a few days ago this olelongrooffan was over at my local grocery store, alas not in a grocery getter, to pick up some Ramen noodles, yeah I can hear my fellow Hoons shouting “college food!” but I just love them, especially with chicken thighs–but I digress–anyway I spotted this pristine BMW as I was passing by to get to the next available parking slot. Of course I had to grab a couple images of it. While this ride had the classic split kidney grill out front, out back, it had a rear end resembling a Bavaria.
But then this olelongrooffan realized this must be a classic BMW 2500m (or other E3 chassis car) much similar to the one I had spotted here and shared with my fellow Hoons.
And while this olelongrooffan was unable to capture an image of the interior due to the window tint, this 3 pedal possessing sedan did have the highly desirable hole in the roof. And remember my mentioning I seem to have a recurring experience of sighting of more than one or two similar cars in a short time?
The next morning, this olelongrooffan spotted this one in the parking lot of one of my subcontractors offices. It was then I knew this was worth sharing.
And yes, white one with the fairing out front is the more highly desirable one to this olelongrooffan.

Long Shots: Another Mystery BMW, Is This One A 2500 As Well?

BMW E3.
Could be a 2500, a 2800 or a 3.0. With a 2.8 or 3.0 M30motor it could be badged as a 'Bavaria' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_New_Six

ramens? get on that Shin Ramyun game. boil the noodles in plain water, then drain them and sautee the noodles with an egg, a slice of american cheese, and the flavor packet. fancy college dinner is served.
i don't know how you've managed to see two of these cars recently when i don't think i've ever seen even one BMW sedan of this vintage in my life. i've seen a few E9 coupes, but that's the closest i've gotten. well-spotted!-
I actually have all of those ingredients in my kitchen…thanks for the recipe…as far as those BMW sightings…yeah, it is amazing what cool sh*t this olelongrooffan sees on a semi regular basis round these here parts. I'm not sure why it happens to me but I am glad it does. Sure helps me to Celebrate Life!

That sliced American "cheese" stuff is an affront to humanity, but I might substitute some shredded cheddar and see how it goes!

it melts nicely, dawg. the only acceptable use of american cheese food product is melt-intensive applications.
