What’s better than one Ford Contour? Why one and a half of course. If you’re an A/V company looking for a place to store some of your junk in the trunk, then this guy wants to talk to you.
Madison Craigslist.

Madison area you had me wondering why I hadn't seen this at all. The 920 area code answer it. Far far east side all the way up to the Fox Valley. Thought at first Milwaukee, with the attitude and all.
-
The whole car isn't even an SVT. Sadly, don't see many Contours still on the road.
-
I think he has an awesome idea. Hook that trailer up with flat screens, PS3s and Logitech racing wheels. Take the whole thing to Laguna Seca. Tow the trailer around the course with two guys racing each other on Laguna Seca in GT5 (when it comes out). Coordinate the speed of the virtual cars with the speed of the tow car and you have the craziest sim EVAR. Record the whole thing, post it on YouTube, and have a META-SPLOSION.

I can't even think of anything funny to say about this. That trailer sucks. End of story.

gotta say, I love the chicken!

when i first saw the picture I thought he was selling the contour, and I got really excited b/c it looked like a pretty clean SVT and I've been trying to find a clean one ever since I sold mine….
SE with svt contour body kit… disappointing, and he just wants free stuff -
Were Contours any good? The car mags seemed to like them, but they've disappeared from the roads.
-
The US Contour/Mystique was, basically, the same as the European Mondeo. They were an attempt by Ford to have a world platform. The Mondeo is a good car and is wildly popular in Europe. The Contour and Mystique were decent, however Ford had to de-content them ridiculously to get the cost down to something Americans were willing to pay for a car its size. Material qualities, suspension tuning, and fit and finish suffered. Also, compared to its competition at the time (Camry, Accord, etc.) it was on the small side.
-
The SVT version was supposed to be pretty good…for the time.
-
I saw a SVT in traffic just the other day. Quite timely. I would take one.
-
The SVT version was quite good, and its turned into a little bit of a cult car, fun to drive, doesn't look half bad IMO. and the exhaust note on that V6 is epic. I'd take an SVT Contour over an SVT Focus. Sadly its hard to find clean & stock ones….

Surprisingly there are several in the area…

That's exactly the reason I asked. I've noticed clean Contour SVTs on CL for about $4,000, which seems like a bargain when you also see a dozen 1988 Caprices for $2,000 (or more). Not that I have anything against the Caprice…

I love it when people make custom trailers… but this looks like someone just chopped a car in half.
Kill the trailer with fire, maybe save the car. -

How about a Celica and a half? -
If you look atthe craigslist ad and the second photo, there is some weird mirroring. I call shop.

It's a flat surface. They reflect things sometimes, when they're shiny.
It's not Photoshop. -
Impostor alert!

I have one and a half cars in my garage, too. I'll bet someone would give me free stuff to NOT publicly associate these clunkers with their fine products.

Allways found this kind of neat combo <img src="http://www.malibuboats.com/images/review/Jan/MalibuCorvetteBoatwCar.jpg">
