I’ve followed this guy on Instagram for a long time now and this is his newest creation. The inspiration has to be drawn from the Porsche 935 with the light placement but I kind of like it. We’ve seen many 350z body kits over the years ranging from Rocket Bunny all the way to the Veilside one in Tokyo Drift, but this one is pretty unique. @ashiru_ito made one a few years ago that drew a lot of inspiration from the Aventador here. That was probably my favorite iteration but all of them are completely unique. I also love watching his progress. He posts the car in all it’s states as he shapes the body. Are you a fan?
Last Call indicates the end of Hooniverse’s broadcast day. It’s meant to be an open forum for anyone and anything. Thread jacking is not only accepted, it’s encouraged.
I was about to rag on it, say something about the new 935 wanting its front end back, but #!%$ it, the gaps look tight, paint looks good, nothing’s falling off, and it’s a helluva bigger accomplishment than anything I’ve done for my car lately … or ever!
👍👍

It’s well executed but the big headlights don’t work for me. The 935 style fenders cry out for pop up lights and an empty duct where the current lights are.
Also, the color should be a shade found in an 8-pack of crayons, and the wing should be color-coordinated and reduced in size.
Let’s see, so you’re saying extended nose, pop-up headlights, color keyed wing that blends in better, and some color from the Atari 2600 palette. Let’s see what we have in that vein… vinyl roof okay? Here we go!

I just spent 9 hours riding a motorcycle and only went 275 miles. I spent maybe a half an hour off the bike the whole day.
Maybe that’s why they call it The Lost Coast?

Sounds like a cool place to go ride. I really enjoyed the central California coast when I lived out there, but I regret not getting further north than San Francisco.
This is only the second time I’ve made it as far north as Humboldt County. The Lost Coast has few roads, but they’re all an adventure. You get the sense that if you tip over the edge you’ll be a mystery forever after.
I ran into one other motorcyclist and he had a GPS, which is really what you need out there. His ride was further into the backwoods than mine because he had better mapping, and an APRS system that was hopefully reporting his last known position back to his home base.
Last time I spent that much time covering that little distance, it turned out to be a faulty ignition coil, but check your fuel filter, too.
Looks like an incredibly beautiful area. I keep collecting tips like that for a future US road trip, but am eternally reminded of how much there is to cover. Might as well take a year off one day…
I had only one short trip (business in AZ with a weekend in the middle) a couple of years ago, but I used the weekend as advised by hooniversalists and was very, very happy.
I like it, any criticism is on a rather high level: Headlights need a better solution (higher up for legality, and I dislike the look of pearly eyebrows), and the paint could be a bit more daring, too.
Minus the ridiculous wing and the impracticable lights (too low to be of any use without blinding oncoming traffic), I like it. Relatively simple but aggressive design.
I didn’t realize that that was a wing… yep, that needs to shrink.
I like it in general, especially the lights. Hate the wing… delete that. Love the color, but it’s begging for Martini livery. I suppose BRE livery would be more appropriate, though.
Outstanding, I love it, perfect blend looks dangerous and different but subtle sophistication
My favorite part are the lights, just extraordinary, incredible.
