Singer may be better known for their pre-war products, but the British car maker did put forth a concerted effort following the end of hostilities to make a go of it. In America, that included having Marilyn Monroe’s curves compete with those of the SM1500 roadster in advertisements. No surprise, Marilyn won.
Here’s a great shot of the famous blonde leaning on the Singer’s fender while singer and Rat Pack staple Sammy Davis Jr. expresses his excitement for the car via an ebullient leap. Sadly, Singers never engendered that kind of emotion among enough buyers to remain independent, and in 1955 they were folded into the Rootes Group.

Looks like Sammy and Marylin do more to make the car look out of date rather than cool and hip.

I don't remember Sammy's character in Rootes.
He played Vegas.
Marilyn had another ride, although I couldn't find a photo of the 1960 model she preferred…

Sammy tried to kick-start the car. Marilyn tried the jump-start. Neither were successful.
