You know how you test the load limits of a 500-foot mega-crane? Apparently for one company, it’s in the field. Actually it seems that a mechanical malfunction caused the crane to fall while working to repair earthquake damage at Washington’s National Cathedral last fall. Nobody was hurt although several empty cars were flattened and the operator in the crane must have dropped a deuce at the same time the crane was dropping him.
