Regal lost its crown, etc… I thought in our magical future that cars would b so cool they didn't need door handles. Passe past. Crush it.

I think the APV had the door handle in the B-pillar, if I'm not mistaken…
Never mind…the regular Lumina (1st gen) had the door handle in the B-pillar, not the APV version. Although, the APV's handle runs vertical.
Yeah you're right. I just remember that crappy unpainted material on our van.
I'm stumped! I think it is a Japanese model from the 80's or early 90's but could not find out what it was. I tried: Mazda 323, 626 and GLC; Hyundai Pony, Excel and Accent; Daihatsu Rocky and Charade; Suzuki Samurai and Sidekick; Yugo GV; Toyota Tercel, Echo, Previa, Corolla, pickup and Camry; Renault Alliance/Encore; Nissan Sentra and Stanza; Chrysler minivans of various years and finally the Honda Civic ( BTW the early Civic is a dead sexy little car!) Nothing matched. Grrrr….. I give up!
I have a wild guess and will say it is a Subaru GL 3 door hatchback from the mid to late 1980's.

I was also thinking 80's-90's Ford product.
That's a pretty smooth body. I see minimal lines / creases between the door handle and the window. I thought it was a late 80's Audi 100/200 series, but our mystery car is even smoother!
