Once, in high school, I made the point of wearing Hawaiian shirts every day for the entire of February (I believe). I can fully relate.
Or, they just never got around to removing it. I suspect I'll still have skates and ski boots in my trunk come July.-
When I get tired of the cold I've been known to go check out some motorcycles or browse the used-car lots for convertibles. I was sitting on a Kawasaki Versys the other day when the salesman came over to talk to me, and I said I was reminding myself that summer happens sometimes.

Just finally unloaded the last of the camping gear from my car (last trip was the first week of October!)

This is pretty funny. I was going to make a crack about people from Princeton because I saw the 295 and Rt 1 sign. Imagine my surprise that there is another 295 and Rt !

Yep, I noticed it was Portland as well (from New Hampshire, used to spend part of each summer on the southern coast). I've seen folks surfing in Maine when the snow's barely off of the ground (in April, say) so this didn't shock me once I saw the exit signs.

Reminds me of my surf-kid days in east central Florida where having surfboard racks on your car was a bit of "cool" status in high school even if the weather wasn't cooperating.
Dad: "Goddammit, Tony, take those surfboard racks off the Mercury NOW!"
