In this digital age it’s easy to forget the tactile pleasures contained in the reading of a good book. And if you have books, you obviously need a shelf upon which to display them, especially if you are the Dutch design studio Denieuwegeneratie (yes, I copy-pasted that). They have done so in their newly realized design concept – Dutch Mountain – an underground villa in which they have repurposed a Series III Jaguar XJ6 as both a storage medium and a conversation piece, even adding Dutch doors to the boot lid. I don’t know anything about art, but I know what I like, and I like Jags.
