For some reason, there was a period of time when a lot of car makers compared their products – often favorably – to those of Lamborghini. And while the Volvo 740 Turbo wagon was undeniably a great car, and Daihatsu’s Hijet MPV was. . . well, efficient, it’s doubtful many teenaged car nuts had posters of either on their bedroom walls.
