The 2010 Sydney Telstra 500, done in tilt shift. Freakin’ awesome.

I'm not usually impressed by tilt-shift methods but this is incredibly well done. Bravo.

So weird: after watching this, I looked up the wikipedia page on tilt shift photography to remind myself how it's done, and one of the four pictures on the page is of the house where I used to live the first time I was in grad school. I used to throw parties on that porch.

Hah, wow that's really funny. My dad once met a salesman for work and they were talking about where they were from over lunch. My dad says oh I'm from a little town you've probably never heard of. The salesman had heard of it and proceeded to describe a house he almost bought there. The house he described was the house I grew up in where my parents still currently live.

I had a similar experience while reading the Wikipedia page on the Austin Metro. It features a nice photo of a Mk1 MG Metro interior in the same color as mine, so I figured I could use it as a point of comparison. I then realized it IS a photo of my car, taken by someone at last year's All British Field Meet in Vancouver, BC:

That was freakin' awesome indeed. I wanted to start pushing the cars around with my fingers and making "vroom" noises…

My son's first comment: "That's a model?"

If FOX adopted these cameras, it might actually make NASCAR enjoyable to watch…

I think the soundtrack helped a lot as well… NASCAR may require Benny Hill.

In fact, further to my last, and please accept my apologies in advance, but this works pretty well.
