Look, I’ll be the first to admit that I didn’t even know there was such a thing as the Danish Army, let alone an annal Åben Hede event where the tank corp can show off their stuff. I guess it must be pretty far away too, if you have to fill up on the way.

Is this why Top Gear were always telling the Star In A Reasonably Priced Car, “Don’t Lift!”? I never did find out what happened if you lifted.

When I was younger I was an armored cavalry officer in the US Army and it never occurred to me to fill up at a filling station. There was always a tanker that came ti fill them all up at once.-
Only if there was an AAFES station nearby and you had your ration card, otherwise it’s hello local economy prices! Then again, I doubt that many of the locals would be willing to object to someone with a 120 mm smooth bore, a .50 cal and a .30 cal mounted on their vehicle; of course the public affairs type would go apeshit…
