See that car up there? That’s the new Audi TT-based car from Gumpert which is a 2014 Geneva debutante. It’s claimed to have 420 horsepower, and as you can see from the plate on its nose, is somewhat unfortunately named ‘Explosion.’ Now, there have been cars named for disasters in the past – Avalanche, Typhoon, etc – but this is one of the first that I can think of named for for potentially a man-made calamity. Of course when your brand name is something like Gumpert, I guess your model names do have to stand on their own as far as weirdness and impact are concerned.
