Last Call- Bag Man Edition

BMW owners are sometimes described as pompous, arrogant, and even pricks. But rarely are they labeled as stupid. That’s why this golf bag loading illustration from the trunk of an E39 M5 must be taken as a sign of the German engineers’ sense of humor. That is, until you remember that German engineers typically don’t have a sense of humor.

Last Call indicates the end of Hooniverse’s broadcast day. It’s meant to be an open forum for anyone and anything. Thread jacking is not only accepted, it’s encouraged.

  1. The point being that this is the one and only way you can hope to get those bags to fit. All else is folly. You can be sure that hundreds of hours of engineering and management time was devoted to making sure your trunk could be three bags full.

    1. I'm an E39 owner who doesn't golf. I've never tried it, but I can't believe ONE bag would fit in that trunk, let alone 3!

    1. For $200, cheaper than a Powerwheels and they won't outgrow it in three years. That reminds me i need to install the ebay app on the Kindle my 2 year old plays with. Maybe Gunbroker has an app too.

    1. Wow, look at that steering wheel. TL;DR.
I meant 'look at the fancy button it's funny lol also memes'

    2. Check out the blue switch It has AC!
We do not suffer for our speed! We race in comfort, with three golf bags all facing right!

  2. What about mahfuggaz like me that drive 1988 528e's in 2013? Are we still douche bags? I don't play golf, and I'm bald so i don't have spikey hair.

      1. Hmm.
I think that might make the least douchey BMW a 1929 Dixi.
The motorcycles have fewer cylinders and are a bit older, but the multipliers for having doors are formidable, and a motorcycle has fewer pedals. Should levers be allowed on motorcycles to make up for that?
And, an Isetta blows the motorcycles out of the water, due to only having one cylinder, three pedals, AND a door.

  3. Bag loading directions by Escher.
Bag 3, which is loaded last, is on top of 1 and 2 in the side view, but somehow below bag 1 and both above and below bag 2 in the top view. Sounds like the German engineers have a sense of humor after all! This is their way of saying "Good luck!"
