So, this morning this olelongrooffan checked in here in the Hooniverse, read yet another excellent Mr. Scroggs post and promptly headed out to meet my brother, thehorsefarmer, and his lovely wife, thebarngoddess. They are down here in sunny central Florida on a belated spring break from their farming duty up in the southwest Missouri Ozark Mountains. And, No, they didn’t bring this motorhome along.
So I spent a delightful day with them and returned to my Taj Mahal, checked in again here in the Hooniverse and realized today has been rechristened Motorhome Monday. I was bummed as I spent most of the day sitting at a picnic table in an RV park looking a a bunch of motorhomes parked alongside their 5th wheel camper.
But it’s okay, I was able to locate a few motorhome images in my library and I thought I would share them with my fellow Hoons.
The one in the above image is the only one of these I took personally. It resides just a few blocks down Halifax Avenue from me and possesses current registration. It has a 318 with a dash mounted shifter for that automatic transmission. It is a Balboa and when I googled that and sent this image to the Balboa owners website, I was contacted by the president and told that they did not even know this existed!
As an aside, I submitted this, and several other images of it, to a certain Mr. Martin for a D.O.T.S. Daytona Beach edition, the first national exposure this olelongrooffan had at the time been exposed to. It also gave me the confidence to contact the Hooniverse overlords and thus I am here. My apologies to my fellow Hoons.
And from that cool old A100 we get to this obnoxious MOPAR!
And finally, a couple cool Internationals. Hemmings picked up a post I did on my blog about this and it is the most hit upon post on my blog.
And finally, I was able to find this image of one in action at a service station back in the day. This is the one I want!
What about your dad's converted taco truck?
SHIT….I totally forgot about his crap brown RV…Motorhome Monday caught me by surprise. Be assured, a post is forthcoming…

Mrs Martin. A small but important distinction. Rawer!
All in all, I think "Mistress Martin" is the appropriate honorific…
Must have Jungle Yacht ! The search is on.
Very nice photos of motorhomes! I especially like the Balboa.
just made my day .
Horrendously late to the party, as usual. I just found the photo of the VW bus and bus trailer, which are not mine, but the caption is. You are welcome to use anything from my website, but my goodness I'd love to get a link back or a mention so i can see where my so-called work resonates. Thank you so much. Love the site. I make a fair bit of fun of motoring of all types, but RVs are a specialty.
