Ever wonder how they transport the massive components for those electricity generating wind turbines? They put ’em on really, really long trucks and then plan routes avoiding sharp turns and low overpasses. One of the big manufacturers of these turbines is Fargo-based DMI industries, donchaknow. Their pictures of tower segments being trucked around are equally impressive. An interesting fact about wind turbines- they make bat’s lungs explode. Who knew? The huge blades also are the cause of tons of bird deaths each year as our feathered friends fail to dodge the spinning vanes. That makes passing this truck an iffy process if you’re driving a Falcon! Image source: [Imgur.com]
