Hooniverse Weekend Edition: Pimp Your Tow Vehicle

By LongRoofian Mar 5, 2011

I mentioned in a post earlier this week that Bike Week starts today and runs through next weekend. The greater Daytona Beach area is filling up with two and three wheeled wonders already. Most of these vehicles arrive in trailers towed behind all kinds of standard daily drivers.

Some arrive behind single use vehicles, although with the camper removed, I guess that Ram could have many other uses.

But my fellows Hoons, when this olelongrooffan saw this trailer, I knew I had to share its tow vehicle with you.

Yeah, it’s an extremely tricked out 80’s era GMC 3/4 ton 4×4 that has been given some real custom treatments.

The cab appears to have been extended as I don’t remember the General offering a “Club cab” during this era. And a huge lift was installed and it has been clad with outrageous 24″s.

And this Quebec based rig possesses chrome mud flaps the size of Rhode Island.

And its paint was in very good condition and the two tone matched the colors on the trailer it tows.

And even though it has been fited with double shocks and a lift kit, this olelongrooffan doubts this beast, even though it’s a 4×4, has ever been off the pavement.

And although its off road travel is questionable, at least to this olelongrooffan, I am confident it has been to more than one tailgate party at several, of the Canadian equivalent to NASCAR, CASCAR races.
And if this olelongrooffan had the need for a tow vehicle, this would be the one I would choose.

Hell, it even has the correct destination on the overhead placard!

  1. Canadian redneck donk? Is this a horrifying new subspecies? I thought they contained their internal combustion weirdness to snowmobiles!
The bus, on the other hand, is fantastic, aside from the Hardly-Ableson stickers.
