Handy Richard Hammond Sends Top Gear Fans a Secret Message

If you happened to catch last Sunday’s episode of Top Gear, you surely chortled over the staged mayhem of the (spoiler alert) Hovervan segment and the related shenanigans therein. If you watched that episode closely, as did I, then you might have noticed something strange about two-thirds of the way through.

That would have been the Go-Pro shot of Richard Hammond and Jeremy Clarkson in the cab of the (spoiler alert) Hovervan where it was plainly visible that the Hamster had something written on his hand. If you didn’t catch it, make the jump to see a CSI-like close up.

Hand Job Bigger

There it is, obviously written in pen but turned indistinguishable due to a combination of sweat, river spray, and freakishly tiny hands. The former political personality Sarah Palin made famous the practice of using her hands as a place to keep a to-do list for her speeches, so perhaps that’ what the littlest Top Gear host was attempting with his palm penmanship? My question to you is, what do you think Hammond had written on his hand, and if this was part of some secret pact what do you think James May and Jezza had written on theirs?

  1. I wonder if Clarkson's wife is watching? It appears he CAN find "the little man in the boat".

  2. After looking very closely I can see it says.
    Noise
    Speed
    180°
So it's probably to remember what shots to get during the filming.
Or it could all mean Teeth Whitening and Crisps.
