As we’ve said before, this site was born as an outlet for all the car window-shopping and BS-ing that we were already spending too much time doing. Turns out it still takes a few minutes to put together a post, but it only takes seconds to open a dozen craigslist or eBay ads. Particularly if you’re IMing that back and forth. Anyway, here’s the batch of finds that are nesting in my firefox tabs right this second.
Check ’em out, starting with the Falcon wagon pictured above. Is there anything better than a 2-door wagon? We say no. More pictures here.

I'm just not that cool…. .because when you said 2-door wagons, this is what came to mind:

That triumph is tempting… too bad I have no cash…

(mad if you want me to stop, let me know, it's just we're damn close. -
Pinto Squire!
High-end low-end! -
You're good.
-
alright then.
-
close?

Love the DS. The Vee Dub is cool, and so is the Pinz., but that two door wagon…me…WANT!
-
The Falcon is a freakin' beast. Want. I like the Wabbit and the Pinzgauer, too. I drove a Pinz offroad a few times, and can say that it'll go just about anywhere with aplomb. The independent suspension doesn't beat you up, either.
-
Mmmm, DS. Just the other day I was having fantasies about turbocharging a DS. Hey, it could happen, right?
-
I miss my JDM WRX now. /sniff
Need another AWD turbosomething.

Brat.
That's what you need.-
That's definitely what I need. They are so hard to come by in decent condition and not insanely-priced though, that I might as well join Jeremy in his quest for the perfect Prinz.

It's a good thing both the Goddess and the Pinz are hundreds of miles away from me! Still, I wonder if the DS owner would accept a low mileage Volvo V70R as a trade… Must not look at the ad…
-
I think I've seen that DS on the freeway.
…after all, how many near-perfect red DSs can there be in the vicinity of Glendale?
-
-
This is why I like this place (and miss LA). I've owned a few of these and, with one exception, all of the others are on my wish list. It's not that the BMW isn't cool, just intimidating.

I'd be a lot more interested in the Mustang without two of its modifications. A used late-model Mustang GT is on my list for potential T-bird replacements, but so many have the quarter window covers which I despise*. And the shaker scoop implementation scares the heck out of me, with the cold air outlet pipe just pointed in the general direction of the filter.**
*Yeah I know the '65 didn't have quarter windows, but the '66 Shelby GT-350 did. And I like being able to see those (usually black SUV driving) people here in Fargo that couldn't tell "merge etiquette" from "Marie Antionette."
**I have been known to be a curmudgeon on the subject of nonfunctional exterior modifications. If the scoop/wing/spoiler/etc. actually works, then awesome. If not, it's extra weight.-
I can't figure out that CAI.
The superfluous tube confuses me.
+1 on the quarter-window things. Luckily, there's probably on there with double-sided tape, the residue of which I have chemicals to dissolve.
Hurst shifter's cool.-
The tube isn't superfluous in the original design , cold air is supposed to flow into the hood scoop, through that tube, into a special cover for the stock airbox.

I love how the tube says "cold air" on it in the Ice Age movie title font.

Yeah, I don't care for the hoodscoop (tho it is functional unlike the mustang california special model) or the quarter window covers, either. It cracks me up how they make the window covers with the scoop/opening in both directions. On this model, it's like a brake cooling duct, just for a window! Oof.
I DO like the front spoiler on this car tho, fits in well. Not sure about the ducktail spoiler on the back; looks good from behind and the side, but up close it's just so obvious where it's stuck on, tho i guess a lot of ducktails are like that. Don't care for the extra emblem on the back, either, but extra emblems on Mustangs are almost a given. I've been looking for an emblem/emblem delete to get rid of the janky fake gas cap emblem on the back, but the only replacements I've found are also chromed plastic and gaudy as all get out.
I am amazed this car doesn't appear to be lowered.
Hurst shifter very nice. I'm jealous, though the MGW shifters are the smoooothest (or so says teh internetz.)
Overall, a very nice car that isn't far off from what I would build, but really, with the '11 looming, you can buy a '10 for 21-22K I would think. (Not the premium like this though, you might have a crappier steering wheel, and no sub in the trunk, but the nicer '10 interior.)
Ice Age font, good lolz.

The Bimmer may seem cheap, but it's a maintenance timebomb, and when it goes off, nothing is safe: not your checking account, your knuckles, your sanity, your relationship (if applicable)…nothing!
-
Ah, c'mon…it's just to M30s joined at the crank…each with their own ECU and…nevermind. You win.

Pinzgauer! Want!
Although it's dropped to third priority on my list. Unimog, Iltis, then Pinz. -

I almost need to do something illegal to earn the 10+ grand to free that Jag from the ignominy of a Chevy V6 (because you know it's not the High Feature, and odds aren't good that it was swiped out of a Lumina Z34). Jeep or BMW straight six, cannibalize an XJ40, hell, even the half-an-Aston V12 Duratec V6 would do the trick.
-
I SO wish those AR Salt Flat Special wheels on the Falcon would fit my LTD. They're my favorite retro aftermarket wheels by far, but my car requires a high positive offset wheel.
-
Damn, I want that Triumph…. Won't somebody do this for the Chicagoland cragslist listings? I haven't yet mastered the car search-fu… do you search for each brand name individually? Or do you search for 'classic'? How do you avoid having to sift through 200 listings for Sentras and Civics?

Triumph. Gorgeous.
