French Flavored Seconds Saturdays

Hanzel Auto Body was kind enough to host another Saturday morning shindig.  The usual suspects were there (you know who you are) and there were a number of newcomers.

First up, we have this gorgeous DS21.  Tim, a Citroen aficionado walking encyclopedia, gave me a comprehensive lesson on this model, which belongs to a fellow Citroen club member.

The clutchless shifter on top of the steering column is funky cubed.  The shift pattern is like a lower case Greek mu.  Counterclockwise, you have 1st, neutral, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and reverse.  Got it?

The Citroen’s owner also demonstrated how to change a tire  using the extraterrestrial suspension, sans jack.

The infamous ZomBee, this blog’s 2011 Car of the Year, made a cameo appearance.  (Make a mental note of that blue VW in the background.)

Lou, who brought a big old Chevy truck last month, brought this not-as-big old 1937 Chevy truck this time.  He bought it in 1971 in Clear Lake.  It was part of a painting contractor’s fleet.

This Falcon was spotless, and loud as hell.

That blue VW belongs to a beekeeper.  The owner had to remove her beekeeping equipment in order to show us the rear “engine compartment”.
