Found in the Forums: All the Mystery Car Data You Could Want in One Handy Chart

FITFMCChart

If you’re familiar at all with the movie Office Space then you’ll know the importance of TPS reports and the requirement that they get out on time. Now, in deference to the Bobs, Hoon extraordinaire Kyle_a_m has put his work aside for something far more important, that being the compilation of all the Mystery Car contests to date and their entry into a handy dandy Google Drive Spreadsheet.

He explained the onus for this herculean task thusly: Soooo…a few weeks ago, I may have made an off-hand comment about cataloguing all of the Mystery Cars, the winners, and whatnot. And I may also be off on paternity leave from work after the birth of my second daughter and wanted a project to stay sane.

Lets all give Kyle_a_m a hearty round of applause for the Mystery Car chart AND having a working sperm factory. Way to go on both counts, dude! Now everybody can go in and see all the Mystery Cars, their solutions and solvers, and any still to be solved, all in one place. How cool is that?

It's . . . it's like all I ever saw was trees, and suddenly I see the forest. Impressive, amigo!
This deserves some sort of prize. Here's some bacon. Congrats on your baby, amigo.

I will take it and all the heart palpitations that undoubtedly come with. It's like I always say (I've never said this before), if your blood pressure isn't "dangerously high", your heart isn't working hard enough.

Had a horrible moment right after I posted that where it occurred to me that you might be Jewish.

Whoa, hey thanks for the post, Mr. Robber, sir. I do count the whole "having another kid" thing near the top of the list of my accomplishments, but this chart is…well it's on there…a lot lower…probably.
The chart is a bit of a work in progress – I'm not really satisfied with having assists in the same column as the guesser so I'm trying to figure that bit out…plus I'm sure I've missed one or two here and there, so if you see anything wonky, let me know…probably in the forums.
Regardless, thanks to all the contributors and commenters that make Hooniverse such a fantastic place to visit. I'm not the most loquacious member of the bunch, but I wanted to give a little something back to the community, so…tadaaaa.

Loquacity can be overrated, clarity is perhaps better than garrulity, ( IMHO ). On the other hand, the friendly , informal, and welcoming, (and non-judgemental ) tone of Hooniverse is just as important as the content.
And some of the most important content are our Mystery Cars, now very clearly presented, so thank you so much for your work, I know that I'll be redoubling my efforts to find the missing ones, especially the last one.
Finally, huge congratulations on the birth of your second daughter, what a strange world she has been born into – compared to the one our generation was. And how much more strange might it get ? As long as you share it with children, I doubt it matters.

You wouldn't be related to Alphamazing on [REDACTED} would you? He used to do an amazing job of trcking exactly who won how many Comments Of The Day <img src="http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b123/AlphaFire_X5/Jalopnik/COTD.gif" width="400">
Stuff like "Congratulations on your 9th ever COTD! You rank 4th among the all time winners, commanding a healthy 2.2785% of all COTDs!
The average has now been brought up to 1.8632 COTDs-per-winner, with a standard deviation of 2.5454.
This is the 395th ever COTD, with 212 unique users, 30.6604% of which are multi-COTD winners.
This is your 4th COTD for 2009, giving you 3.1008% of the COTDs for this year so far, and is the 129th award given out this year.
The yearly average is now 1.6753 COTDs-per-winner, with a standard deviation of 1.7655"

See, I haven't found nearly as much as I was led to believe. I'm only half-savant 🙂

Correction for MC #112: The Humber is a straight six, not a V6.
Everything else looks okay.

First, that is super rad. Are you now the official Hooniverse historian?
Second, it's been a really really really long time since I got a correct Mystery Car guess in first.
