I was blasting through eBay listings this evening, getting depressed at what roughly $10k buys in terms of bitchin’ muscle cars. Protip: when someone uses the phrase “390 4 speed car”, they usually mean it had a 390 and 4 speed, but probably doesn’t anymore. Anyway, then I stumbled across this gorgeous blue 240z in great shape for little more than the price of a wretched Mustang fastback. There’s not a lot to point out, aside from it being a 5-speed, AC-equipped clean-bodied (thanks to some replacement panels) car. It looks good, but it’s not perfect, so there’s no stress in actually driving it regularly.
The $11,500 Buy-it-now isn’t chump change by any means, but seems like a nice price for a car that reminded us we could have twice the fun with half the horsepower.
