Do We Even Need a Reason to Post a Brat?

No. No, we do not. To appease the skeptics, this is the nicest looking Brat I’ve ever seen at any price, let alone for a mere $2500. It’s got 120k miles, t-tops, jump seats, and AC. Keep in mind, those t-tops are glass pop-up units, arguably the pinnacle of 80s roof engineering. We dig the originality, but feel the brush guard would be nicely complemented by a set of yellow KC Daylighters with happy face covers.
You rust belt residents may commence your road-salt lamentations.

1. The 90s happened. I was to young to do anything when they went away (except maybe with the Camaro), but if the Corvette ever loses its targa roof, I'm entirely prepared to cut a bitch.
Although, if you get a 4-door Wrangler with the hardtop, they've still got the t-top option (Freedom top, as they like to call it – proof Chrysler's stuck in 2002?).

1. Man, I am going to have to quit reading this blog. A $349 Merc and now this, both near enough to where I live.
Maybe there should be a column advising hoons how to convince their SOs these bargains CANNOT be missed. That would solve things for me.

2. I've always had a secret lust for one of these as well as a Rabbit pick-up.
It probably has to do with the fact that not far from where I grew up there was a house with 2 Rabbit pick-ups and 2 Brats.

3. Ah, the Brat, a product of international trade disputes and protectionism.
A little known background; the plastic seats were added so that Subaru could import the Brat as a car, not a truck. Trucks had (still have?) an import duty on the order of 25% (somebody have the correct number?). So very clever……

4. Hello dude How are You ? I like your post and i want to stumble it for my friend but i cant see your social bookmark widget in this blog. Please help me friend Thank You

6. For those of you have a Brat already and may be looking for restoration parts, my 1983 Subaru Brat met an untimely end, so I'm parting is out. Tail lights, trim, the famous back jump seats, a camper shell and more. For a current part inventory visit:

1. No, nobody answers these questions. The ad which inspired this article was posted on Craigslist well over a year ago, as was the article itself– check the date at the top of the page. Brats are fairly plentiful, so go find a current listing if you really want one.

7. We want to but it depending on were its located I need a number or email….Please answer this
