Now that the Nissan Newsroom old model archive has been raided for your pleasure and the Datsun-Nissan Weekend Edition can be seen through, I hand the torch over for you in this last post. Find out what you find the most interesting and share your weirdness in the comments.
Just like this Pulsar EXA convertible shows, there really is something for everyone in there.

Man, the Mid-Late ’70s Cedric was a badass lookin’ car.
-
In the wild
-
It looks like a downsized copy of a muscle car, just like that one generation of Celica looked an awful lot like a small mustang. This one rings of GTO to me
-
I’m seeing some A-body Barracuda with the sharp crease in the beltline of a late-’60s Impala.
-
Yeah, there’s certainly a classic Mopar vibe in the Cedric’s design.
-
-
-
With a name like ‘Cedric’ you HAVE to be look badass to survive…
-
-
Cedric Longroof… I’ll have it with the SD22 wheeezel engine, thank you.
-
I can’t remember which Nissan Newsroom I found in yesterday, but I appreciate any time Nissan doubles down on the Juke’s weirdness.

I would take that ice fishing.
-
I expect at least 25 clowns to come out of that thing. Cue up the Yakkity Sax.
-
Only 25? I would think that many would come out of a Datsun Sports.

1991 Pulsar GTi-R. In GT2, it was either this, or the Mazda 323 GTX as a beginner car. I’d love to have one, but time/money/kids prevent it. -
The fancy part of me wants to go French and have some S-Cargo:

Damn you Disqus!

The letter ‘V’ is really just a de-tuned version of the letter ‘R’.

I learned to drive in one of these (minus the awesome JDM mirrors). Ours had a 1300cc engine, automatic, and was in a shade of a metallic pale green.

This is in no way relevant to this weekend’s Nissans, but that spraypaint job reminds me of this band van, which has two messages to convey to the world – “NO FALSE METAL,” and “DRIVE SAFE.”
Similar sentiments, those. -
Luckily I don’t think that’s a genuine Wicked camper, even if it looks as dodgy as the actual ones:

I image searched that company and lost a little more faith in humanity. Thanks, Australia! You are the Western world’s Florida. I’m glad you linked to the protest article so I at least knew there was some backlash.

I think this dashboard might be peak ’80s.

It gives the Subaru XT a run for its money.

I had a 1983 Plymouth Sapporo Technica with digital dash. As an 18 year old I highly enjoyed using it.

Wow, mind trip. I almost detected a faint taste of Cooper’s Big Barrel when I first looked at that picture.

I really dig the U12 Bluebird SSS ATTESA Limited 4-door hardtop. Same platform and many of the same stampings as the final generation of USDM Stanza, but with AWD, SR20DET power and that fetching hardtop greenhouse.

I present you the Nissan Pao… Introduced in 1987!
-
Wow nice, 87? looks more like 67

The retro styling trend is older than the New Beetle…

To me, the most interesting Nissan is the Sentra/Pulsar/Sunny I had when travelling through Southern Africa. It looked boring and beaten to death, but was a blast to drive on roads, especially unpaved ones, and incredibly capable off-road.
This is a photo I took after driving through a puddle that turned out a bit deeper than expected: -
What an outstanding resource! But the only Nissan I’ve owned – the P10 wagon – is not a part of this collection. Here’s what I’d drive:

A superclassic BaT car, right along with the SAAB 96 and the Porsche 356:

…and this Opel-ish wagon gets extra cute points:

My best friend drove the US version of this, the 710 Sedan, during our high school & college years. Nothing exciting about it, AT ALL. It was a typical mom hand-me-down.
