We received this gem at Hooniverse HQ from Leo (Thanks Man!) and what a mash-up it is. This is a combination of a second generation Prius, and a Subaru Baja Pickup Truck. Read more after the jump…
The company that put this thing together specialized in the sale of used Toyota Prius Cars. While it may have been a good idea at the time, the overall look and finish is a little off center. So what is your opinion of this beast? Go here to see the entire listing. You will find this guy’s Ebay About Me page buried within.
Hooniverse Weekend Edition: The Pruck…

It looks like a fever dream.

That's, uhhh, a little awkward. Since the Baja was the successor to the Brat, we could call this the "Prat." Looks like the intention was to add batteries between the rear seat and the bed to turen it into a plug-in hybrid with usable EV range, but that hasn't actually happened yet.

"The "Prat""

Parking must suck in that thing.

Life must suck in that thing.

Uhhhh… Awe-NO. This qualifies for the "I just threw-up in my mouth!" tag. I hate it.
Also, could this be the FT-86? It is a super special project between Toyota and Subaru…-
No, it's the CTCH-22,

He recommends using premium gasoline for better mileage. Normally, higher octane has lower energy density, meaning less power per gallon and fewer miles per gallon. Worse yet, higher octane blends are often achieved with a higher ethanol content, for lower energy density still. (I really need to find some data on fuel manufacturers, or just a non-ethanol station.) The only possible increase in BSFC might be a result of using the higher detonation resistance of higher octane fuels to lean out the mixture. Apparantly, under sustained high speed running, the 2010 Prius adjusts timing and injection to do just that.
I'm impressed.
EDIT: Several forums warn that this adjustment, if sustained, can result in error codes and warning lights.-
for ethanol-free stations, try http://www.buyrealgas.com/
no affiliation blahblahblah, I just like to run real fuel in my motorcycles (when possible).

What the Pruck?

I applaud his actions, but question his methods.

I would have stopped here:

Because, lets face it, that is as much fun as a Prius is ever going to get.-
Jebus, the turbulence would be epically deafening!
+1 for adding lightness, though. -
YES.
And, doughnut spares = healthy oversteer.

A Baja with the front body of a Prius could be fun, but with the rear wheels not driven, I find it hard to care.

These would sell like crazy in Portland, OR.
